"I thought I had a chance to catch up to her, but there was no stopping that lady today," Neumann said. "All you can do is lower your eyes demurely, curtsy, and say 'Congratulations, ma'am,' in a meek tone of voice befitting a lady."

Sweeping all the major lady-awards for a fifth year and moving within 22 ladies' wins of the all-time ladies' record, Miss Sorenstam is carving out her place in ladies' history alongside legendary golfers such as Nancy Lopez and Kathy Whitworth, both also ladies.
Miss Sorenstam, who took up the sport of ladies' golf when she was just a little lady at 12 years old, has been a feminine golfing inspiration to a whole new generation of ladies, including young lady Michelle Wie and ladies' tour rookie Paula Creamer, whose play proves her a lady despite her brief, unladylike tiff with Miss Sorenstam over an 18th-hole drop in the ladies' first round of the ADT Championship.
As the lady champion, Miss Sorenstam is expected to reap her proportional rewards. In addition to her career earnings of over $2.5 million—a fraction of Tiger Woods' $40 million-plus once thought unimaginable—male golf insiders expect Miss Sorenstam to receive attention from sponsors such as ladies-wear companies, ladies' hygiene product manufacturers, and other markets of which regular golfers are ignorant or only dimly aware.
"She has proven that the ladies can play golf just like men, if not, of course, actually with men," Professional Golf Association Tour executive vice president Edward L. Moorhouse said of Miss Sorenstam, who in 2003 became the first lady to play on the real PGA Tour since true ladies' lady Babe Didrikson Zaharias, the grande dame [big lady] of golf, did so in 1945. "This lady golfer truly deserves our admiration in the form of the highest honor men can grant her: the honorary title 'First Lady Of Golf.'"
Of course, Sorenstam's honors will include a polite and proper phone call from Laura Bush, the First Lady of the United States, who will offer not only her congratulations but those of her husband George, the leader of the free world.
"You're welcome to drop by the big tour and play a round or two with the men any time you like, little lady," Moorhouse added. While I would normally be giddy with their situation, I can't help but feel bad for Joe Torre. Even the most devout Yankee Hater must admit they have a soft spot for Joe. Lets face it, he's a likable guy (much like Jeter - a guy I hate merely for his choice in laundry).

One would think that Cashman's head will roll as well as Torre's.

Others likely to go:

Rivera
Posada
Pettitte
A-Fraud
Rocket

There is a fair chance that Yankees Stadium has hosted it's last post season game as its scheduled to be replaced after next season. He arrived in Beantown a damn-the-torpedoes fastballer who treated his second and third pitch like runners-up at the Miss America pageant - only to be used if #1 should fall from grace.

Beckett was a stubborn student. In 2006, seemingly convinced that his fastball was like no other, he continued rely on that one pitch. Subsequently, he gave up 37 home runs as AL sluggers taught him a valuable lesson - you don't grade without a curve.

In 2007, Beckett arrived at camp with a curve...and slider. To accompany his new arsenal of pitches, he adopted an entirely overhauled mindset.

No longer a reckless kid, Beckett finally understands what it takes to be a big league pitcher. It's there. You can see it in his eyes. Pitch and catch...nothing else.

"I was just out there trying to execute pitches until somebody takes the
ball out of my hand and the game's over," Beckett said after his masterpiece. "I
never got ahead of myself. It was always one pitch at a time. It didn't matter
what was going on. Along with an elementary history lesson, it projects what the Putin regime sees as the most prudent way forward.

"And he (Putin) is proud of his KGB roots. “There is no such thing as a former Chekist,” he says. His office promoted financial reform for the new Russia which seems harmless on the surface. However, financial reform sans government restructuring was a colossal misstep. A Chekist/KGB/FSB-led Russia with deep pockets is a frightening prospect.

At best, it's a course which must be navigated with care. At worst, it's a potential confrontation with a capricious state who's global enfluence is growing daily. EC is a great place! It sits in the heart of Boston Proper and is the perennial powerhouse in the fields of broadcasting, film, writing, theatre and other communication-based educational programming. That being said, EC is much different than anything I had experienced while cutting my teeth down south. Here's a shining example of what I'm talking about.

Link: Emerson Makes Restrooms Gender Neutral. Usually you wouldn't say such a thing when a pitcher hands off the ball in the middle of the 7th after giving up 13 hits and 4 earned runs...but its the Yankees.

Although it lacks some of the name recognition of years' past, New York's batting order is as stupefying as any in MBL history..when they are on. Pitching against the Yankees is much like commercial crab fishing on the Bering Straight; no matter how big the last wave was, there is another headed directly towards your bow...and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

Why was it so frustrating to watch?...because you knew they weren't coming back. Everytime the Sox needed a big hit, it was Drew, Henske, Crisp or Lugo at the plate. I know Manny's "oblique strain" put the sox at a disadvantage, but the 2004 Sox - The World Series Champion Sox - would have found a way.

This team seems to be missing something....

No, not him....Not him either... YES!!!...
Double YES!!! Nixon and Millar had their faults (Nixon's injuries and Millar's Karaoke) but both gave you a fighter's chance - They could change the game with one swing.
